Grant Received to Expand Services

Fran’s Place has received a $15,000 grant from Tower Cancer Research Foundation Community Partner Grant to expand our no-charge cancer counseling services to adult patients and parents who have a child with cancer.

“In 2022 alone the Center provided over 900 hours of no-charge psycho-oncology services,” says Dr. Baumgarten. “The Community Partner Grant from Tower Research Foundation funds us to provide an additional 136 hours of no-charge psycho-oncology sessions, specifically for adult patients and parents who have a child with cancer who reside in Southern California.”

Patients work directly with a qualified, fully licensed pyscho-oncologist (i.e., cancer counselor) to develop tools to navigate their cancer journey, manage overwhelming concerns, and empower them to participate in life to their fullest abilities.

We are incredibly grateful to Tower Cancer Research Foundation for this help in expanding our services!
