Volunteering, fundraising and participating in the Center for Cancer Counseling provide individuals as well as organizations of all sizes a unique opportunity to make a profound impact on the work we're doing today.

The last few years have been an exciting, rewarding and growing time for the center. With the help from our donors we have been able to provide desperately needed counseling services to cancer patients and their families. These services include:

• Individual, family, marital, play and group therapies
• Home and hospital visits
• Grief workshops

These services are offered on a sliding fee schedule. With the generosity of donations like yours, we can ensure treatment for everyone, regardless of their ability to pay.

All of our families shoulder an enormous amount of emotional pain and adjustment in dealing with the diagnosis, treatment, life style changes and losses associated with this disease. Especially gratifying is the ability to help people who are facing death. It is at this very unsure time that the patient and their family members appreciate the assistance.

We are extremely proud of the help we provide families, especially the children, after a parent has died. This type of grief work is very specialized. We are one of the few resources available to grieving children and their remaining parent.

Continued donations, both financially or in the time provided at the center, provides us multiple opportunities to continue making an impact on the individuals and families we help, now and well into the future.
